long hours

not many words only flashes in pictures, the ability to structure a sentence escaping me, lost in the pile of dishes, the dirt of the floor, the trash in bags that need to go out, the bickering and complaining, the hours in long lines ticking until bedtime.

I can wash dishes or bring over distractions and Starbucks. Just say the word!
((((hugs)))) My third baby was my hardest transition. A girl, as well. I think my girls were harder on me than my boys. Perhaps the Lord knew this when he required a longer rest for mamas of baby girls than those of baby boys. (Lev. 12)
I wish I were closer to give you a hand, or to invite your boys to come play with my boys (who are so very similar). Stay in bed, mama. It’s okay if t.v. babysits for a few days, and it’s okay if those dishes stack up. You’re body is trying to recover from a huge ordeal! It’s also trying to create enough nourishment to sustain another human being! How well you rest in these first few weeks will determine how well you are recovered in six weeks. Doing too much now will only prolong your recovery.
Probably preaching to the choir, here, but I have a heart for mamas of new babies! Remember my “Death to Supermom” post?
Just in case you don’t remember it =) http://amesely.blogspot.com/2005/03/death-to-superwoman.html
